Senior Leadership
David Crow
EVP, Head of Axos Clearing
David Crow serves as the Head of Axos Clearing, where his focus revolves around enabling business leaders to anticipate future challenges and opportunities. With a career spanning 25 years in various financial services roles, David's expertise lies in providing forward-looking guidance to optimize, scale, and transform organizations.
At the core of his approach is the commitment to helping companies navigate uncertainties and foresee upcoming trends, allowing them to stay ahead of the curve. David leads his team at Axos Clearing with a dedication to understanding each client's unique challenges and crafting tailored solutions to address them effectively.
Passionate about fostering strong client relationships, David thrives on collaboration and attentive listening. He believes in sharing industry-honed expertise to empower clients and colleagues alike. Active within industry groups such as SIFMA, the Financial Services Institute, and is a member of FINRA Clearing Firms Committee. David also contributes as a speaker at various events, further solidifying his reputation as a thought leader in the financial services sector.

Gil Addeo
SVP, Business Development
Gil serves as the Senior Vice President of Business Development and focuses on West Coast and Global Business development.
With over 30 years of experience working with leading financial institutions and a background that spans across fintech, banking, wealth management, custody, and clearing, Gil brings a wealth of expertise.
Passionate about enhancing the client experience, Gil is committed to leveraging his profound industry knowledge to empower our clients in optimizing their investment practices. His strategic insights and dedication to fostering meaningful relationships help drive the business forward.
Gil holds studies in business management at Temple University, Executive Business Studies Program at Harvard Business School, Securities Industry Institute at Wharton School of Business, and Series 7, 24, and 63 licenses.
Michael Scaplen
SVP, Sales and Relationship Management
Michael has supported the financial services industry for over two decades, leading sales and marketing at multiple leading institutions. As the Head of National Sales at Axos, Michael applies a relationship-based, client-centric approach to his team's services and support of the industry, Axos clients, and partners.
A current board member of the Security Traders Association of New York (STANY), Michael is an industry anchor, frequently sharing his insights and expertise as an invited speaker and thought leader.
Michael holds Series 55, 4, 24, 63, and 7 licenses and a public relations degree.
James Meyers
SVP, Head of Clearing Services and Operations
Jim serves as the SVP of Service and Operations and has 35 years of experience in financial services operations and customer service. Before joining AXOS Clearing, he was VP/Officer of Clearing Operations at Ameriprise Financial, focusing on transition management for advisor recruiting and firm acquisitions.
For the past 16 years, Jim has led cross-functional management and operational strategy development, overseeing clearing operations' financial structure, enhanced service models, operational efficiency, process design, project execution, and compliance.
He earned a bachelor’s degree in finance from Mankato State University. He is a member of the FINRA Operations Committee, a board member for Thomson/BETA Brokerage Systems, and holds Series 24 and Series 7 licenses.
Summer Fischer-Tom
SVP, Head of Product Development
Summer Fischer-Tom serves as the Senior Vice President of Product Development at Axos Clearing, where she brings a client-focused approach to delivering innovative products and solutions that drive revenue growth and client satisfaction. With over two decades of experience in the financial services industry, she has led the success of several award-winning products at prominent firms such as Pershing and USB. Passionate about building open and lasting client relationships, Summer works closely with financial professionals at Broker Dealers and Wealth Management firms to provide tailored solutions that empower them to achieve their goals with greater efficiency. Summer holds a bachelor’s in engineering, a Master of Science in Management (Technology and Product Management), and FINRA Series 7, 63, and 24 certifications, along with an AI certification for Product Managers.
Rick Hastings
SVP, Clearing Operations
Rick joined Axos Clearing LLC as Senior Vice President of Clearing Operations. He is a seasoned leader who joins the firm with more than two decades of industry experience working at Invesco in Houston from 2000 to 2018 and at Securities America in Omaha from 2019-2021. He has held a multitude of roles across Technology, Automation, Strategic Planning, and Innovation.
Rick credits his success to a group of amazing leaders and mentors, allowing him to encourage and empower his teams to work more efficiently, solve problems, and create solutions using innovative approaches. He is a graduate of Sam Houston State University with a BS in Computer Science and a minor in Finance.
Shawn Kinsella
Chief Compliance Officer
Shawn Kinsella is the Chief Compliance Officer for Axos Clearing. Shawn brings more than 10 years of experience working in Compliance and Enterprise Risk Management in the financial securities industry. Previous to Axos, Shawn served in senior roles with the Advisor Group, Inc., and Securities America, Inc.
Shawn and his team are responsible for developing, establishing, and implementing effective corporate governance principles and practices to ensure an atmosphere of compliance and risk mitigation across Axos Clearing’s Custody and Clearing Divisions. These principles allow Shawn and his team to monitor compliance policies and supervisory control processes to ensure Axos complies with applicable federal, state, and self-regulatory rules, laws, and regulations.
Shawn holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Iowa State University and maintains his Series 7, 24 and 66 licenses.
Jeffrey Plummer
FVP, Axos Securities Chief Compliance Officer
Jeffrey Plummer serves as the Chief Compliance Officer with over 20 years of experience in the securities industry. Before joining Axos Securities, Jeff spent more than 19 years at TD Ameritrade and Charles Schwab in various compliance roles. He has extensive leadership experience in highly regulated environments, driving robust compliance functions through strategic vision, relationship building, and a proven track record of regulatory compliance. Jeff possesses strong expertise in broker-dealer examinations, risk management principles, interfacing with all levels of management, and proficiency in distilling information for regulators and business partners.
Jeff holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Nebraska and a Master of Business Administration from Bellevue University.
Jeremy Franzluebbers
Chief Risk Officer
Jeremy serves as the Chief Risk Officer for Axos Securities. Jeremy has over 15 years of experience in the financial services industry and risk management. Prior to joining Axos in 2020, Jeremy held a variety of leadership roles at TD Ameritrade within their Internal Audit, Supervision, Risk and Controls, and Risk Management departments. Jeremy and his team are responsible for overseeing the Market and Credit Risk for all accounts across Axos Securities. Along with managing the Risk and Controls Assessment process to ensure the control environment is sufficient to manage risk within the Firm’s risk appetite.
Jeremy currently holds FINRA Series 4, 7, 24 and 63, NFA series 3 and 34, and is a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA). He is a graduate of the University of Nebraska with a BS in Business Administration – Management/Finance and has earned a Postgraduate Certificate in Mechanics of Risk Management.
Venessa Harrison
VP, Business Transformation & Governance
Venessa has 15 years of experience in financial services operations, primarily with Axos Clearing LLC and its predecessor firms. During her tenure at Axos and its predecessors, Venessa has held numerous roles in key areas related to settlements and operations control. She has been a key stakeholder in managing operations, ensuring safety and soundness, and building efficient workflows. Her extensive experience in clearing back-office operations and her ability to connect processes across functional work streams have earned her many accolades within the firm and industry.
Venessa holds FINRA Series 99 and 7 licenses. She is an active representative member of SIFMA Operations and currently serves as the co-chair of BetaNXT’s settlement committee. She graduated from the University of Nebraska-Omaha with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration - Management.
Carla Barry
AVP, Operations
Carla serves as the Assistant Vice President of Service Operations, leveraging extensive expertise in client experience strategy and operations management. With a focus on overseeing service teams and managing operational risks, Carla ensures adherence to high service standards and efficient budget management. She excels in building cohesive, high-performance teams through clear leadership and a commitment to operational excellence.
Carla holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a minor in Human Resources, as well as FINRA licenses SIE, Series 7, and Series 63.
Howard Green
Chief Financial Officer
Howard has over twenty years of experience as a CFO in the brokerage industry where he served as the registered FINRA Financial and Operation Principal of the firm. He also has extensive experience in the asset management space. Mr. Green began his career as a manager in public accounting, auditing full-service clearing broker-dealers.
Howard is a licensed CPA in the state of New York and has an active Series 27 license. He graduated magna cum laude with a BS in Accounting from the State University of New York at Albany.
